DAY 01          ARRIVE DELHI

You will arrive at Delhi International Airport. Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, a YATRA Exotic Routes representative will meet you as you EXIT the ARRIVALS TERMINAL building after which you would be transferred to your hotel.

Upon arrival at hotel, proceed for check-in to your rooms.

 DAY 02          DELHI

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning proceed for half day combined city tour of Old & New Delhi. The tour will begin with a visit to the Jama Masjid, one of Asia’s largest mosques. The magnificent Red Fort, overlooking the river Jamuna was built during the years 1638 – 48 when the Mughal Empire was at its peak. The tour continues to Jama Masjid, one of Asia’s largest mosques and which is viewed from the outside. People stream in and out of the mosque continuously and the presence of a nearby bazaar means that the area is rarely quiet.

Also visit Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin Auliya – RA (1238 – 1325 AD) also known as Hazrat Nizamuddin, was a famous Sufi saint of the Chishti Order in India. He was born in Badayun (east of Delhi), though he later settled in Delhi, where his shrine (Nizamuddin Dargah) is still located. His original name was Mohammed. He was the son of Ahmad Dainiyal, who came to Badayun from Ghazani in the year 1234-35. At the age of 20, Nizamuddin went to Ajodhan (the present Pak Pattan in Pakistan) and became the disciple of Fariduddin Ganj-i-Shakkar. He was also the spiritual master of Amir Khusro. He died in the forenoon of 3rd April 1325. It is visited daily by many of people of all religions. The tomb of Amir Khusro is also located within the Nizamuddin Dargah Complex

 DAY 03          DELHI/AJMER [AJMER SHATABDI AT 0630/1300 HRS]

Morning transfer to railway station to board train for Ajmer.

Ajmer, towards southwest of Jaipur, was founded in the 11th century by Chauhan ruler Ajaipal and is dominated by the Taragarh fort. It is a major centre for Muslim pilgrims during the fast of Ramzan on account of being home to the Dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chishti. Seven pilgrimages to Ajmer are supposed to equal one to Mecca. Ajmer has some superb examples of early Muslim architecture and a lively bazaar.

DAY 04   AJMER/JAIPUR [BY SURFACE 120 KMS/03 HRS]

DAY 05          JAIPUR

Morning proceed to visit the ancient capital of Amber to see the fabulous Amber Fort. Maharaja Mansingh, Mughal Emperor Akbar’s most successful General, started the construction of Amber Fort in the 17th century.

 An elephant/jeep will spare you the trouble of reaching up to the fortress. Once on top, stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls. Many of the rooms have delightful wall paintings, with precious stones and mirrors inlaid in the walls. Most fascinating, perhaps, is the Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) where a single lamplight is reflected in the many mirrors, lighting up the room.

In the afternoon, you will visit the city of Jaipur. Among the highlights to be seen while touring Jaipur include the City Palace, which is an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways. The palace museum houses collections of rare manuscripts, armory, costumes, carpets and miniature paintings. Walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar or Astronomical Observatory made by the Maharaja of Jaipur, built in 1726 and is one of the five such astronomical wonders built by Sawai Jai Singh and makes accurate predictions even to this day. You will also have the opportunity to wander about the local markets. Return to your hotel after the sightseeing tour of Jaipur City.

 DAY 06          JAIPUR/AGRA [232 KMS/5 ½  HRS]

Later you will be driven to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city, built by the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the late 16th century.  It was abandoned soon after it was built when the local wells went dry and it remains today in much the same condition that it was over 300 years ago.  It is complete with palaces and mosques and used to be a town larger than London when it was originally constructed. Now it is an extraordinary place to wander around with its buildings in near perfect condition.

After your visit, continue your drive to Agra and check-in at hotel.

 DAY 07          AGRA

Morning proceed for half-day city tour visiting Taj Mahal & Agra Fort.

The Taj Mahal is everything that has been said about it and more. Taking 22 years and 20,000 men to build, the white marble was quarried 200 miles away and was transported to the site by a fleet of 1000 elephants. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an

expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, in mid 17th century, the Taj Mahal is truly one of the wonders of the world. Though the Taj appears to be amazingly perfect from almost any angle, it is the close-up marble inlay work, which is really astounding. You will have ample time to view and be mesmerized by this outstanding piece of architecture.

Note: Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays

Agra Fort, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture. Agra Fort – the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. This was the seat of Mughal rule and administration and the present structure owes its origins to Akbar who erected the walls and gates and the first buildings on the eastern banks of Yamuna River. Shah Jehan added the impressive quarters and the mosque while Aurangzeb added the outer ramparts. Visit its Hall of Public Audience and its Royal Pavilions.

Arrive Piran Kaliyaar Sahib Dargah of Hazrat Makhdum Sayyed Allauddin Ali Ahmed – Sabir Paak (RA).

Piran Kaliyaar Sheriff (Dargah of Hazrat Makhdum Sayyed Allauddin Ali Ahmed – Sabir) – The famous Dargah Kaliyar Sharif is now in existence for about 800 years. The arrival of Khwaja Makhdoom Alauddin Ahmed Sabir Pak popularly known as “Baba Sabir” at Kaliyar unfolds some interesting episodes of his life. It is said that after his father’s death, Sabir’s mother Hazrat-e-Hazra brought him to Pakpattan in 1204 A D where her brother Baba Farid lived. Eleven-year-old Sabir could make unusual predictions. The tomb of this Dargah was made by Ibrahim Lodhi. This place is one of the living examples of unity. Famed for its mystical powers that fulfill the desires of the devout, the Dargah is visited by millions of devotees from all religions from India and abroad. The Urs is celebrated at this Dargah every year, from the first day of sighting the moon to the sixteenth day during the Rabeeull month of the Islamic calendar.

Morning tour visiting Haji Ali Dargah, Mani Bhavan : A memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, Flora Fountain : Now called Hutatma Chowk or Martyrs Square . This cherished but undistinguished fountain stands at the established business centre of Mumbai. . SiddhivinayakTemple : Dedicated to Lord Ganesha this beautiful temple is situated at Prabhadevi Marine Drive : Built on land reclaimed form Back Bay in 1920, Marine Drive runs along the shore of the Arabian Sea from Nariman Point past Chowpatty Beach to the foot of Malabar Hill. Chowpatty Beach : Situated at the northern end of Marine Drive, it is a stretch of sandy beach and attracts hordes of people during the weekends and on holidays. Kamla Nehru Park : Situated across the road, this park is very popular with children. Laid out in 1952, it was dedicated to the memory of the wife of India’s first Prime Minister.
